What is Aided7?+
A SaaS that builds Autodesk (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Revit) add-ins from plain-language descriptions or verified unit picks — no coding — then builds them into an installer.
Do I need to know programming?+
No. Pick units or describe what you want in plain language. AI and templates handle the C# code.
Which products are supported?+
AutoCAD is the current focus; Civil 3D and Revit are coming in stages.
Difference between an ‘add-in’ and a ‘unit’?+
A unit is a single button's action; an add-in bundles several units and installs as a tab in the Autodesk ribbon.
Building
Where do I pick units?+
Open an add-in and use ‘Add units’ — split into Aided7-provided, your own (AI), and community tabs.
How does AI generation work?+
Under ‘My Units (AI)’, describe what you want; the AI organizes it into a scenario (target → process → output) to review before generating.
What if a build fails?+
The result is kept. Refine the description or try ‘Precise (form)’ mode. The failure reason is shown too.
How do I install my add-in?+
After combining (build), double-click the installer you received — your add-in tab appears in the Autodesk ribbon.
Account & billing
Is it free?+
You can start on the free plan. Some limits apply (AI generations, monthly builds); paid plans raise them.
How does payment work?+
Plans are shown today; payment integration is rolling out. See the roadmap for timing.
Who owns the generated code?+
Rights to the code and artifacts you generate belong to you (see the Terms).
Is my data safe?+
